Eyeglasses for about 250 children and adults
The team of optometrists that participated in the activities of the pediatric clinic of Bissau has visited more than 500 people. More than half of them needed eyeglasses.

The optometric technicians who came to Bissau last week to participate in the activities of the pediatric clinic had no lack of work to do! One of them is from Rome and the other is from Albania and decided to become an optometrist in one of the first missions of the Community in Albania. Both of them cooperated with us in similar missions in Albania and Montenegro.

In a week they have seen about 500 people, both children and adults in the facilities of our hospital. They saw mothers and children, but then their visits reached also other relatives, personnel of the hospital, the workers who rebuilt the hospital, and many more who happened to hear about the initiative.

Many, mostly among the adults, needed eyeglasses: almost half of the people seen. All of them will receive eyeglasses in a second mission in October.
