The thirteenth edition of the International Conference on AIDS in Africa (ICASA), on the subject of the Access to Treatment, is taking place in Nairobi (Kenya) from 21st to 26th September.
The Community of Sant'Egidio, which started the DREAM program of anti-retrovirus therapy in Mozambique in March 2002, participate in the Conference with a delegation of its doctors. They will present two oral communications on the results so far obtained by the program of treatment and prevention.
The two communications concern, in particular:
- Prevention for mothers and children (i.e. the results of the therapy on pregant women and their babies)
- The results of the therapy on all the patients treated in the centers of the DREAM program in Mozambique. |
