Easley Supports N.C. Death PenaltyGov. Mike Easley has said that
North Carolina doesn't need a moratorium on executions because the
state has a unique process. Under current laws, the state supreme
court is allowed to examine death penalty cases in proportion to
other cases. That way allows justices to decide if the punishment
is fair. But Easley admits that the system isn't perfect. He
believes that other states should implement the same process of
case review that North Carolina uses for death penalty cases
