TEHRAN, Iran (AP) A teen-ager convicted of murder was hanged in a jail in western Iran Tuesday, the official Islamic Republic News Agency reported. Mehrdad Yousefi, 18, was hanged after his death sentence was upheld by the Supreme Court, IRNA reported. The agency quoted provincial judiciary official, Mohammad Barani, as saying that Yousefi was sentenced to death for stabbing a man to death two years ago. Barani said the death sentence was carried out "in accordance with the Islamic eye for an eye law of retribution."
