Dear user,
This Saturday, April 22nd, the Community of Sant'Egidio welcomes the visit of Pope Francis to the Basilica of St. Bartholomew in Rome, dedicated since 1999 to the memory of the "New Martyrs" by John Paul II.
During the prayer, which will begin at 5pm (Italian time), Pope Francis will pay homage to the relics of the martyrs of Europe, Africa, America, Asia, Communism and Nazism. The Pope will also meet a group of refugees arrived in Italy with humanitarian corridors, along with victims of trafficking and some unaccompanied minors.
The Pope's prayer in the place that keeps the memories of contemporary martyrs has a special value in times marked by the suffering of so many Christians in the world and in the light of Easter.
THE EVENT IS BROADCASTED IN MULTILINGUAL LIVE STREAMING
starting at 4:30pm (Italian time)
