Teachers informed their students at school, and many women spread the word on the public transports. The village chiefs are informing all their people
It is a sounding tam tam.
Many people walk for several miles to arrive in the morning from the villages of Nacoco, Intatapila, Natikiri and many others.
 Many women are afraid to say they never got a birth registration but this is the first question posed by the ‘brigada’ (it is the name of the commission of the registry office involved) supporting them to get their certificate.
As soon as they hold their cedula pessoal (the equivalent of a birth registration) they smile saying they can now finally obtain their Identity Card.
Although the waiting time can seem long, the time passes by quickly, it is evident the desire to know more about their rights. In fact, during the day they are taught some aspects of the Mozambican civile code contextualised to the real cases presented.
 Everyone has a question to ask, they ask information for a relative, a son living in a different village, their mother which does not have the cedula pessoal. It is an opportunity to know many more things about their country.
Even some elderly women arrived to meet the brigada and Elisa, who is 67 said: ’I want to exist! I am Mozambican!
