Deputy Foreign Minister Theodoros Kassimis is representing the Greek government at the International Meeting for Peace "The Civilisation of Peace: Faiths and Cultures in Dialogue", organised by the Church of Cyprus in cooperation with the Saint Egidio Community, which began here on Sunday.
The meeting that will last until November 18, is being attended by religious leaders, heads of state and representatives of different cultures and faiths, as well as intellectuals, secular scholars and journalists.
Speaking to the ANA-MPA, Kassimis termed the meeting "very important" and underlined the significance of holding such a meeting in Cyprus. Kassimis, who will address the conderence on Monday, will be received by Cyprus President Demetris Christofias.
