Execution SAN'A,

Yemen (AP) A Yemeni man convicted of murder has been executed by firing squad, an official with the public prosecutor's office said Sunday. Ali Saleh al-Qousi was executed Saturday in Dhamar province, 100 kilometers (62 miles) south of the capital, San'a, for murdering Ali Naji Mohsen, the official said. It wasn't clear when al-Qousi was convicted or when and how he committed the murder. Yemen, an impoverished country at the southern corner of the Arabian peninsula, imposes the death penalty for rape and murder convictions.
