Campaign to stop execution of Ethiopian

A campaign is under way in Ethiopia on behalf of a migrant worker who's been sentenced to death in Bahrain for killing her employer.

Individual Ethiopians, civic organisations and the government are lobbying the Bahraini authorities to prevent the woman, Yeshiwoyk Zewdu, being executed.

The housemaid, who was eighteen-years old at the time, complained that she was abused and maltreated.

The Ethopian government believes she was a minor and was not given a fair trial.
