Authorities in western China have executed 11 people, among them a bus driver who hit and killed 2 people while driving at night with his lights off, a state-run newspaper said. The 10 other people executed Tuesday by gunshot in Urumqi, capital of the western Xinjiang region, were convicted of crimes including drug peddling, murder, robbery, and stealing and trafficking guns and ammunition, the Xinjiang Daily said in a report seen Sunday in Beijing.
