ANDREA RICCARDI
Because of the following reasons:
First.
Because Andrea Riccardi has assumed the Christianity in a deep way and creative, when he turns his conviction and faith experience into Evangelic action, opened and extended all over the world, dedicated to others, by the study, the solidarity and the peace, basically throught the Community of Sant'Egidio, a lay assotiation founded by him in Rome.

Because the Community of Sant'Egidio has obtained an ecumenical reach, with house and members also in Catalonia, taking care of the excluded, the poor peaople, the disregarded ill, the non-papers immigrants, the abandoned childhood.
Third.
Because also throught the Community of Sant'Egidio Andrea Riccardi has promoved a huge religious dialogue, interdenominationals and civic, as well as international, based in freedom and justice, in a transcendental sense of the existence.
Fourth.
Because from the Community of Sant'Egidio Andrea Riccardi has strongly influenced in the peace processus of many Third World countries, in some cases reaching all or a part of its objective, as in Mozambique, as he strives to establish a world moratorium of the death penalty.
And fifth.
Because with his books, born from his historian and university side, Andrea Riccardi has offered a clear and sharp panorama and a meditation of the Church and the pontificate of the XXth Century.
