The authors have represented one of the realities of big European cities, characterised all too often by a defensive attitude and a lack of welcome for immigrants and the poorest. On the "wall", using their own handprints, they have printed fists and open palms, the first a symbol of closure and defence, the second a symbol of openness and welcome.
