The Telephone of Solidarity

Since 1984 the Community, first in Rome and then in other towns, has started the telephone of solidarity which can be called every day. In the last 5 years more than 12000 requests for help have been received: old, ill, lonely people or homeless have found a guidance, a concrete help, the friendship of the Community amongst difficulties of life, made heavier by solitude and poverty.

The telephone also collects offers of help from people who are ready to give some of their time to support someone in need.

So there is a link between who needs and who offers help, making it possible for one to find an answer and for the other to be generous and useful.
