THE "LONG LIVE THE ELDERLY MOVEMENT
The initiatives

Wrzburg - Germany

The Long Live The Elderly Movement has promoted various initiatives to make the public more aware of some fundamental issues with regard to improving the quality of life of the elderly.

Marias Letter, for example, has helped to lift a common problem for thousands of elderly, to formulate a solution, but above all to spread a movement of opinion that is favourable towards the development of home-help services as an alternative to indiscriminate institutionalisation.

The elderly can be the source of an impressive movement of opinion and mobilisation regarding the defence of life and the fundamental rights of the person.
