L'Aquila (Italy): A delegation from the Community of Sant'Egidio of Rome and Pescara visiting the tent cities and camps of the city and of the neighbouring towns hit by the earthquake.
A large delegation of the Community of Sant'Egidio from Rome and Pescara has visited, Easter Sunday and the following Monday, the tent cities and the fields in L'Aquila and in twenty neighboring towns hit by the earthquake.
During the visit we met many people; special attention was dedicated to the elderly and to the disabled: the uncertainty of the future and the inconvenience of the life outside their homes makes them in fact those who suffer more in the present difficult situation. One of the purposes of the visit, among others, was to put the base for an intervention of support to be realized in their favor.
Among the various meetings, especially significant have been the moments of prayer animated by the Community with the persons of the tent city of Fagnano and among the elderly in the institute of Fontecchio.
