From October 10 to 24, at the Vatican, the Special Meeting for the Middle East of the Synod of Bishops on: «The Catholic Church in the Middle East: communion and witness. "Now the company of those who believed were of one heart and soul" (Acts 4, 32)».

The Secretary-General, with the approval of the Holy Father has appointed auditor, among others, Professor Marco Impagliazzo, president of the Community of Sant'Egidio.
