On 31 August, Pope Benedict XVI met in the summer residence of Castel Gandolfo, the bishops friends of the Sant'Egidio Community, which these days are guests of the Community in Rome.
From eleven countries of different continents, mainly from Africa and Asia, the bishops were accompanied by Mgr. Vincenzo Paglia, Bishop of Terni-Narni-Amelia, and the Cardinal of Monaco Rheinard Marx, who in the next few days, from 11 to 13 September , will host the International Meeting "Bound to live together, Religions and Cultures in Dialogue", as promoted by the Community each year to continue the spirit of the great meeting of Prayer for Peace promoted by John Paul II at Assisi in October 27, 1986. |
