The Community of Sant'Egidio youth have already arrived in Rio de Janeiro, from Rome, from different European cities, from Africa and Latin America. They will participate in the World Youth Day, which will see the presence of Pope Francis in the culminating events from 22 to 28 of July. 

This year's theme "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations", has a strong missionary character and will be developed from the previous days in scheduled meetings in different cities of the immense country. The Sant'Egidio groups organise moments of prayer, debates, exhibitions and conferences in Rio, and besides in Sao Paulo, Ribeirao Preto, Aparecida and Sao Carlos.

Among the subjects deepened, those that are proper of the Sant'Egidio spirituality: the encounter with the poor, the work of reconciliation and peace, the testimony of martyrdom in the reality of today's world and the faith as the basis for a meeting culture.
