They are departing from various European cities, Africaand, of course, from Latin America, the Sant'Egidio youth who will arrive in Rio in the coming days for the World Youth Day, the first with Pope Francis.
In fact, the Day develops over a period of several days, July 24 to 28. But the week before, which young Brazilians have called the pre-WYD, is dedicated to missionary activities throughout the country.
An important moment, which wants to make young people aware of the issue which the Day is dedicated to, which this year has a strong missionary mold: "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations" (Mt 28:19).
In this spirit, the Sant'Egidio groups organise meetings, exhibitions, debates and moments of prayer in the cities of Sao Paulo, Ribeirao Preto, Aparecida, Sao Carlos and Rio de Janeiro.
