On July 30, a delegation of the Communities of Sant'Egidio of Rome, Barcelona and Monaco, on a visit to Istanbul, was received by Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople Bartholomew.
In the conversation, the Patriarch recalled the many visits to the Community of Sant'Egidio and his participation in the Prayer for Peace of Naples in 2007. He also told about his recent fraternal meeting with Pope Francis, expressing his willingness to continue on the ecumenical path of dialogue and unity.
At the end of the meeting, he wanted to give as a present his picture with Pope Francis explaining that it was the most beautiful present for him. |
