The humanitarian emergency in the Philippines is very serious. Food and drinking water are also lacking in the areas hit by the typhoon.

After sending a first container to the areas hit by typhoon Haiyan, the Community of Sant'Egidio is organising an aid scheme for the Philippine population hit by the typhoon.
