Catholic Theologian, Spain

(La Selva del Camp 1953, Spain).

Priest of the dioceses of Barcelona and Tarragona. Doctor of Biblical Sciences (S.S.D.), Pontifical Biblical Commission (Rome 1984). Professor of New Testament Studies, Faculty of Theology of Catalonia (Barcelona), and Dean-President of the same Faculty since 2006. President of the “Studiorum Novi Testamenti Societas” (2011-12). Author of two books and one hundred articles on the New Testament and apocryphal literature: “Medieval Biblical Translations”; and “The Basilica of the Sacred Family in Barcelona,” an account of the Theology of the architecture employed. Amongst his other publications can be found: Jesus. An Uncommon Journey (Tübingen: Mohr Siebeck 2010); and Jesus. A Biography (Waco, TX: Baylor UP, 2011) (original in Catalan, 2004); and from amongst his articles: The Resurrected Body of Christ as a Cosmic and Mystical Body (in print).
