After completing a degree in law at the Evangelical School of Theology in Vaux-sur-Seine, in 1972 he was sent to Congo to carry out his pastoral mission. Upon his return to France, he became pastor of the Union of Free Evangelical Churches. He carried out his pastoral mission in Orthez, later in Paris. In 1997 he was appointed President of the French Bible Society and in 2000 of the Biblical Commission of the Protestant Federation of France. Since 2007 he is President of the Protestant Federation of France.
