The World Day of Cities for Life/Cities Against the Death Penalty saw the partecipation of a growing number of cities throughout the world.
Together with those (almost 1200) that have officially declared their participation to the honor list of cities that said no to death penalty, we must consider many others, some of them in countries where death penalty is still being implemented, where the Community of Sant'Egidio, together with other organizations, have realized various events, initiatives and meetings to promote the culture for life.
