On 7th of Feb, the Community of Sant'Egidio of Nakuru travelled to East Pokot, to Kositei.
The river beds are all dried up and the terrain as bad. They brought to the people 9 tonnes of food: maize beans and cooking oil.
The aids have been distributed to 100 families and left the rest for Fr kiriti, the parish priest to give to other families.
It was a great way to celebrate the 45th birthday of Sant'Egidio as a community.
