The Congress of the representatives of the Communities of Sant'Egidio from Africa and Latin America on the topic "Go forth from the land of your kinsfolk to a land that I will show you" (Genesis 12,1), just ended in Rome last Sunday.
The meeting - which lasted 10 days - focused on different issues, all related to the "globalization of love and solidarity", facing the challenges of the different situations where the Communities live and work for peace and the poor: the children of the School of Peace, the street children, the isolation of elderly people, the living conditions in African prisons.
On Sunday March 19th, during the prayer of the Angelus in St.Peter Square, Pope Francis greeted the participants of the meeting.
