| From July 17th to August 12th, 180 volunteers of the Community of Sant’Egidio, coming from different countries of Europe have animated 10 summer camps for more than 2000 Albanian children of the poorest districts of Tirana and Lezha and some Kosovar children of Dragash. The programme was focused on peace education and children were provided with stationery and educational material.
Recreation, trips and parties were also organised for the patients of the psychiatric hospital of Tirana. The Community provides for them food and assistance during the whole year. |
