Rome - The Bible of Shabaz Bhatti, the pakistani minister has been delivered to the basilica of San Bartolomeo, memorial of martyrs and witnesses of faith in XX and XXI century
6th april 2011
Rome – On April 5, the Community of Sant'Egidio has gathered in prayer in the basilica of San Bartolomeo all’Isola, Memorial of the New Martyrs, at the end of a day in memory of Shahbaz Bhatti, a Pakistani minister - bound by deep friendship with the Community - who was killed last March 2 in Islamabad because of his commitment to dialogue and peace in his country.
During the prayer, presided by Mgr Joseph Coutts, bishop of Faisalabad - the home diocese of the minister - his brother Paul has delivered, on behalf of his family, the Bible of Shahbaz Bhatti, who was placed on the altar where the memories of martyrs and witnesses of the faith of Asia and Oceania are kept.
