 On the initiative of the Community of Sant’Egidio, at the Collège des Bernardins in Paris, on 9th June was held the conference “Francis of Assisi, the Gospel inside the town”.
Starting from the recent book by André Vauchez, François d’Assise, with the participation of the author himself, the various speeches illustrated the life and the message of the Saint of Assisi.
After an introduction by Mons. Jérôme Beau, auxiliary Bishop of Paris, expressing his appreciation for this initiative promoted by the Community of Sant’Egidio, there were speeches by Michel Camdessus, former director of International Monetary Fund, Jean-François Colosimo from the Orthodox Theological Institute Saint Serge (Paris), Marco Bartoli of the Community of Sant’Egidio and Emile Poulat, historian and sociologist of religions.
The conference will be transmitted on the French broadcaster KTO on 22nd June at 8.40 pm.
