A delegation of the Community of Sant'Egidio, led by father Vittorio Ianari, went to Lebanon to meet Zakka I Iwas, Patriarch of the Syrian Orthodox Church and John X Yazigi, Greek Orthodox Church Patriarch of Antioch, and brother of the bishop of Aleppo Paul Yazigi, who was kidnapped in Syria along with Bishop Mar Gregorios Syrian Ibrahim on 22 April.
The Community of Sant'Egidio, of which the two bishops have been dear friends for many years, pray for their freedom, in Rome and in in the World every day. |
