In recent days, hundreds of Syrian refugees, from Lampedusa and the reception centres in southern Italy, are transiting from the Central Station of Milan to the countries of Northern Europe (Germany, Sweden). They are women, children, entire families who arrive exhausted and deprived of everything. They spend the nights in the station waiting to leave.

The Community, together with the Young Italian Muslims and other members of the Milanese Muslim associations are working together to receive and give support to refugees, giving a significant sign of solidarity and dialogue. This initiative has prompted the City of Milan to take action in favour of refugees.
