Andrea Riccardi and Marco Impagliazzo were received by Herman Van Rompuy, the President of the European Council, at the Presidency of the European Council in Brussels.

The meeting, very friendly, dealt with the topics of interreligious dialogue for peace, the process of European integration and the drama of the Syrian conflict.

A few proposals were also presented to President Van Rompuy and to Europe about the reception of migrants to prevent new tragedies in the Mediterranean.
