Peace is possible, to build it is the responsibility of everyone, even the youngest. The students of Ouagadougou are well aware of this because on Sunday 24 May they crowded the streets of the capital of Burkina Faso with a peace march organised by the youth of the Community of Sant'Egidio in collaboration with the higher school students of Saint Viator and Saint Colette. An appeal for peace that has been embraced by many adults, from parents to teachers to the principals of the high schools.
"We believe in dialogue, we want peace, we want a just and fraternal society": the Youth for Peace of Burkina respond so to the invitation of the Community of Sant'Egidio to work for dialogue, solidarity and respect for all.
The march was followed by many young people choosing to commit to helping people in need, especially the elderly that live in loneliness and abandonment.
