"Warmth for our Cities". In this hot summer the name of this campaign could sound strange, but it is not true for the people in Pretoria, in South Africa, where in these nights the temperature is close to 0°C

"Warmth for our Cities" is the campaign launched by the Community of Sant'Egidio of Pretoria to help the homeless of the city during winter in South Africa. Meals and more than 200 blankets have been already delivered.

The winter months are particularly harsh to the homeless, especially for those who are elderly and sick. A warm meal and blankets were welcomed by homeless friends, and despite the cold weather, during the distributions there was joy, song and dance. Distributions will continue throughout the winter: a "Winter of Solidarity".
