Humanitarian corridors for refugees allow the most vulnerable people, women and children, the elderly and sick, to reach Europe in safety, without needing to undertake a death trip across the Mediterranean.

Since February 2016 more than 1000 refugees have arrived in Italy, many of them arechildren. But many more are waiting in refugee camps or preparing to risk their lives in perilous journeys across the sea.
