On Sunday, April 18th the cells of the Department 8 bis of the Judicial Psychiatric Hospital (OPG) in Aversa have been opened for two hours. Nearly forty people attended a feast organized by a group of friends of Rome and Naples Community.
Those who are imprisoned in the OPG come not only from Campania, but also from other regions of the Central Italy and from Rome (among them some people met at the soup-kitchen in Via Dandolo, at the Christmas lunch and Rebibbia prison) and some foreigners too.
During the feast took turns tradicional Italian songs and appreciated vocal performances of some of the Hospital “guests”.
The concluding speech underlined the importance of the event: “Today – it was said – is a significant day: a friendship has started, between each one of you and the Community” |
