It was held in Blantyre, Malawi, the First National Day of Rainbow Country, which was attended by about 600 young people from different high schools in the city.
The theme for the day was "No Justice Without Life". Gathered in the auditorium of a local high school, kids who are part of the Country of the Rainbow (about three hundred) have presented the campaign against the death penalty and introduced their service with children and the elderly to as many peers, through singing, testimonies and drama.
"Only love can change the world" is the slogan that Grace, Thomas, and Owen Ronack, high school Malawians have declined in various ways by presenting their activities in the spirit of the Community of Sant'Egidio.
After the big party, everyone gathered for the second edition of the Day: a way to continue to know and better understand how to change the face of Malawi and build a world of peace, with more justice and solidarity.
